Candidates regularly evaluate and reflect on their professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences. (PSC 6.2/ISTE 6c)
This artifact is the Weebly Blog from my portfolio. The purpose of this artifact was to reflect and self-assess what I have learned in all the ITEC classes at Kennesaw State University. My individual contribution to this artifact is the documentation and reflection of the work that I completed for the ITEC MEd. at Kennesaw State University, stating how each of the classes helped me develop a unique set of skills needed to become an expert on Instructional Technology strategies in the classroom as well as coaching other teachers achieve this goal.
This artifact demonstrate mastery of the standard because it shows my ability to regularly evaluate and reflect by providing my individual reflections on my positive experiences and reflections on how I overcame challenges that arose during my participation in each class. So that I can provide expert advice during Professional Learning sessions it is important to analyze and reflect on my professional practice and dispositions so I can identify strengths and growth in my professional development.
I learned from completing this artifact that a professional that conducts research, development and delivery of Professional Learning sessions should regularly evaluate and reflect on the work performed so we can improve and identify challenges confronted. What I would do differently is to include feedback from the teachers I worked with during these reflections to have an accurate account of my reflections to include others.
By creating this artifact school improvement, faculty development, and student learning was impacted because I am able to reflect and pinpoint my professional areas of strengths as well as challenging areas to improve. This will be assessed by myself and how well I continue to self-evaluate during the course of my career.
