This artifact is the Chrome Extensions from the Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG) conference, 2022. The purpose of this artifact was to improve my knowledge of Web 2.0 tools and how to integrate this technology into my lessons. My individual contribution was to attend the presentation of this artifact that provides information on how to utilize Google Chrome extensions for easy access for teachers and students during the FLAG conference.
This artifact demonstrate mastery of the standard because it shows my interest in continuing to promote and grow my knowledge of Instructional Technology in the classroom, as well as my interest to acquire knowledge in current and emerging technologies by seeking relevant information and staying abreast of Instructional Technology tools that are being developed continuously. This artifact also explains my ability to apply the knowledge and skills that I gained throughout this program to identify relevant and meaningful Instructional Technology strategies to implement in my classroom and with my students. This shows how I am able to improve productivity and professional practice because this artifact includes the use of various Web 2.0 tools that will be applied to enhance my professional development.
I learned from completing this artifact how to incorporate different Web 2.0 tools into one place and share this knowledge with my colleagues and students to maximize the use of technology in lesson plans and tasks completion as well. What I would have done differently is that I would ensure that I can show teachers from different disciplines how to incorporate this tools into their lesson planning.
The work that went into creating this artifact impacted school improvement, faculty development, and student learning because we delivered this artifact presentation during PLC for the World Language Department at my school. This impact can be assessed when the teachers incorporate these tools into their lesson plans and show it during PLC meetings to come.
